thanks to は、名詞（句）を続けて良い結果につながった原因を表す表現

due to とは違い、良い結果の原因にだけ使います。

文頭にも文末にも置けます。

thanks to は良い結果の原因に使う。悪い結果には due to / because of を使う。

thanks to は基本的によい結果の原因に使う表現です。悪い結果を普通に説明するときは due to や because of を使う方が自然です。
