文法の意味
主語が三人称単数（he / she / it など）のとき、一般動詞の現在形には -s / -es を付ける
he / she / it だけでなく、Tom や my mother、the cat のような人名・単数名詞も三人称単数として扱います。
使い分け
自分以外の1人・1つの習慣や特徴を話せる
I / you の行動だけでなく、家族・友達・動物・ものを主語にして、普段の行動や特徴を説明できます。
I play tennis on Sundays.
人の習慣Tom plays tennis on Sundays.
動物の習性The cat sleeps by the window.
have の変化My mother has a small car.
文法の形
動詞の語尾によって付け方が変わります。
play → plays
watch → watches
study → studies
She has a cat.
文法のルール
三人称単数の主語には -s / -es が必要。
He play tennis.
He plays tennis.
主語が he/she/it（三人称単数）のとき、一般動詞には -s を付けます（play → plays）。
they のような複数主語には -s を付けない。
They plays tennis.
They play tennis.
They は複数主語なので、動詞に -s は付けません。-s が必要なのは三人称単数（he/she/it）のときだけです。
人名や単数名詞も三人称単数として扱う。
My mother cook dinner every day.
My mother cooks dinner every day.
My mother は三人称単数（she と同じ）です。he・she・it だけでなく、人名や名詞も三人称単数になります。
have は不規則。三人称単数では has になる。
He haves a car.
He has a car.
have は不規則に変化します。三人称単数では has を使います（haves ではありません）。
