使い分け
場面での使い分け
差があるか、同じくらいか、範囲の中で一番かで形を選びます。
差がある — A is bigger than B.
as ... as差がない — A is as big as B.
最上級一番 — A is the biggest in the group.
not as ... as相手ほどではない — A is not as big as B.
-er / more の使い分け
形容詞の長さ・語尾によって、-er を付けるか more を使うかが変わります。
-er / -est — tall → taller / tallest
長い形容詞more / most — famous → more famous / most famous
不規則形が変わる — good → better / best
than / in / of / on の使い分け
比較級は than、最上級は範囲を示す語で比べる相手・範囲を示します。
比較級の相手 — heavier than that one
in場所・集団 — the tallest in the class
of具体的な数 — the best of the three
onチーム — the fastest on the team
文法のルール
比較級は -er か more のどちらか一方。短い形容詞は -er、長い形容詞は more。
This test is more easier than the last one.
This test is easier than the last one.
比較級は、-er か more のどちらか一方で作ります。両方を重ねると比較級の印が二重になります。短い形容詞は -er、長い形容詞は more と使い分けます。
最上級も -est と most を重ねない。

最上級も -est と most を重ねません。短い形容詞は the + -est、長い形容詞は the most + 形容詞、それぞれどちらか一方を使います。
比較の「〜より」は than 一語。from は使わない。
older than from me

比較の「〜より」は than 一語で表します。from は「起点」を表す語なので、比較には使いません。than だけで「〜と比べて」の意味になります。
最上級には the が必要。
He is tallest in the class.
He is the tallest in the class.
最上級は「唯一の1番」を表すので the が必要です。the tallest の形で使います。
as ... as の間には原級を入れる。
She is as taller as her sister.
She is as tall as her sister.
as ... as の間には原級を入れます。比較級 taller は than と一緒に使う形なので、as taller as にはしません。
2つを比べるときは比較級、3つ以上なら最上級を使う。
This bag is the lightest of the two.
This bag is the lighter of the two.
2つの中で一方を選ぶときは比較級を使います。この形は発展的ですが正しい表現です。3つ以上なら the lightest of the three になります。
