複数あることだけでなく、いくつあるか、何番目かまで具体的にできます。
複数であること
I have books.「私は本を複数持っています」
正確な個数I have three books.「私は本を3冊持っています」
順番This is the first lesson.「これは最初の授業です」
基数詞と序数詞
数えるか、順番かで使う語が変わります。
基数詞
個数を数える — one / two / three
序数詞順番を表す — first / second / third
文法の形
100 以上は hundred / thousand を使って組み立てます。
基数詞 + 名詞
基数詞 + 名詞（2以上は複数形）
I have three books.

数詞 + hundred / thousand + 名詞

文法のルール

2以上の数詞の後は名詞を複数形にする。
I have three book.
I have three books.
three は3つを表す数詞なので、数えられる名詞は複数形にします（book → books）。

順番を表すときは序数詞を使う。
I live on the five floor.
I live on the fifth floor.
順番を表すときは序数詞を使います。five は数量を表す基数詞なので、順番には fifth（序数詞）を使います。

hundred / thousand には -s を付けない。
The school has two hundreds students.
The school has two hundred students.
数詞 + hundred のように具体的な数を表すときは、hundred に -s を付けません（two hundreds → two hundred）。
